Pony House

A plan for a horse riding facility in Shiraoi, Hokkaido.
The reception, toilets, and riding area are arranged in a linear fashion, creating a long façade that is highly visible, while the roof extends over the horse area, creating a continuous space between the horses and humans. Although small, the horizontal façade, which emphasizes the horizon, resonates with the land of Hokkaido, and acts as a device that connects the horses, humans, and the land.
